Do you have or are you thinking of starting a business that requires using one or more company vehicles? Do you know what you'll do if any of those vehicles should happen to break down? Electricians, plumbers, and more all rely on vehicles to get employees from one job to another. When these vehicles break down, there is obviously going to be no money made with that vehicle until it has been repaired. For many businesses, the solution to this problem is to drive or have the vehicle in question towed to a mechanic. But there is actually a better option. Instead of going to the mechanic, you should use one who will come to you. Some of the best reasons for this include:

Less interruption: All but the most involved vehicle maintenance and repair tasks can be completed outside of an actual garage. Fluids can be changed, wires replaced, and more without a mechanic needing to do much more than look under the hood and take care of the problem. Because an onsite fleet maintenance technician doesn't need to take your vehicle somewhere else to have it fixed, there will be less of an interruption in the routine of you or your employees.

Save money: When your vehicles need to be fixed, you would generally have to have at least one of your employees go to the mechanic in order to get the repairs started and then again to pick up the vehicle once the vehicle is finished. In addition to a possible tow truck to get the vehicle there and back, taking your company vehicles to a traditional mechanic could cost you a significant amount of money beyond the actual mechanic's fees. With onsite fleet maintenance, it is possible that the fees from the mechanic could be slightly higher than a more traditional mechanic. However, when you add in the additional costs of having to go back and forth to a non-mobile mechanic, you'll find out that you're actually saving money.

Fewer breakdowns: When it takes so much time and money to take your vehicles to a traditional mechanic, you may be tempted to skip things like oil or spark plug changes for as long as possible. Avoiding these things will, unfortunately, result in more serious breakdowns in the future. But for some small businesses, there may not be much choice. A good onsite fleet maintenance service can schedule these things outside of your normal business hours. Having these things done in a timely manner will help to prevent future breakdowns, both saving you more money and helping you to continue making money.
