You Wanted A Millennium Falcon, But You Got A Sand Barge Instead: DIY Truck Repair Gone Awry

So, you bought a used truck and you thought you could repair it and deck it out to look like a cross between a truck and the Millennium Falcon. Only trouble is, your truck now looks like a sand barge from Tatooine instead. Do not freak out; auto mechanics can fix this. Here is how.

Beefing up the Controls and the Engine

You just wanted a truck that could go faster and have more power. That is technically a job for an engine mechanic who knows how to convert engine components to turbo parts. So, the first thing that needs to be done is to take your truck to an engine mechanic who can rebuild and convert your engine into the type of speed machine you are looking for.

The Exterior Paint Job Is a Mess

When you got frustrated with the engine, you probably transitioned over to the paint job. That was not supposed to be so hard, but after removing and buffing off layers of paint and sealant, you found a rather rusty-looking truck body. You could not paint over this until it was repaired, and you could not repair it because you were not sure how to approach it.

It is okay. That is what auto body detailers are for. They can not only finish the job you started, they can call in some serious artists to paint the body of your truck in any theme, pattern or colors you want. You want your truck to look like the iconic Star Wars ship? No problem! Auto body artists can do that.

Computerized Updates for the Truck

If the used truck you bought is not too old, the auto mechanics can install new computerized updates in the truck, including a touch screen in your dash and voice commands. It will cost you a few hundred extra bills, but it may just be the finishing touch on your truck. If you do get such updates, make sure you also get park-assist and lane drift security updates. Then it will feel like your truck is on auto-pilot.

Do Not Forget the Chrome

Nothing can look sci-fi without enough shiny chrome! After the engine is complete, the body work and paint is perfect, and the computerized updates are finished, make sure you have plenty of carefully-placed splashes of chrome. Now your DIY mess is one hot-looking space saga/sci-fi masterpiece worth ogling.
